The Olgas and Trolls...

the upside down plant

We are walking the orange trail.
Valley of the Winds

a native....grass

Having a spell, getting ready to begin the 10km odd walk...

Again the rock was fascinating. It was like there were river rocks that had been moulded together with a quick flow of soft mudslide and then gone hard...

These two were inseparable all day...Eliza loves her big brother! He carried her nearly the whole way.

Hahaha..we thought it was alright....heading down, this is going to be fun....kinda didn't think, we'd have to walk this way coming back....all up hill!

Pushing a large stone into the wall of the rock

Look what Bear found hiding in a little 'air bubble' inside this rock....another rock!!!

The kids loved exploring!

The views were magnificent!!

Every turn had something to see or climb!

Big brother helping his little sister up the scary rock face...

Kata Tjuta - meaning many heads
was breathtaking to say the least.

Though I walk through the Valley....

Hey Dean...recognise the backpack?

Got to the top for a rest and LOOK AT THAT VIEW!!!
If you have ever thought you might like to visit...
DO IT!!! Photos do not do this Awesome formation justice!!

Phil found a rock, which incredibly had the formation of Australia on one side..

The kids adding to the growing landmark

Casey and Eliza found something to do on their wanderings...

Here he comes! He walked the whole lot and most of the time he was in front

Heading back...only half way!!

JUST INCREDIBLE!!

This is where we stayed last night, so we could do Ayers Rock yesterday and then The Olgas today.
Oh and I must explain the Title of this page...
The kids kept calling the Olgas the "Ogres" or The "Troll place" just by association because they couldn't remember what the place was actually called and all they could remember was that it sounded a bit like a troll...
Lots of tourists obviously need this reminder, that we are backward!!
