This was a really clever farmer...
local produce, a helpful staff member too happy to cut up anything we bought, things for the kids to do and animals to feed.

More crops...This is sugar cane after planting...it takes 12months before harvest.
This crop is being harvested, only for next years planting.
They use a small amount to cut up and replant and that's how the cycle continues.

A lovely local lady told us where to find these cute little creatures, wild around her home.
It was really special to see them in their native habitat and they were quite friendly
One of lots of ant nests here. They are unusual, having greenish bottoms and their sting, is quite sharp, speaking from experience.
